II. Specialty Education Objective:
The Musicology is designed to cultivate the innovative specialists who have excellent moral quality, basic theoretical accomplishment of musicology, master systematic professional knowledge and better expertise and skills, and can be engaged in research, teaching, editing, management and production in a certain field such as culture, education, media, creation, etc.
Specific goals that students are expected to achieve in about five years after graduation:
Students majoring in music education should master the basic theories and skills of music education. About five years after graduation, they may engage in not only art education in middle and primary schools, but also theoretical research, art management and other professional directions of art education in middle and primary schools.
Students majoring in music art management should master the basic theories and methods of music management, have the basic ability to engage in a certain aspect of management in the relevant art field, and may engage in art editing, management, planning and other work in music press, music publications and other fields in art groups and art management organizations at all levels about 5 years after graduation.
Students majoring in music science and technology should master the relevant music theory, technical knowledge and operational skills, and may work in music editing, music production, music creation and other related fields at various levels of music press, music colleges and art groups about 5 years after graduation. III. Educational Requirements:
Quality Requirements:
Have excellent moral quality, establishing a correct outlook on the world, life and values, consciously practicing the socialist core values, and being passionate about the music undertaking. Have a good team spirit, high music theory quality, artistic cultivation, cultural cultivation, innovative spirit and certain innovation ability. Have good psychological quality, healthy physique and positive attitude towards life, inheriting and carrying forward Chinese national music culture, having strong national cultural self-confidence and identity, and understanding the diversity of world music culture.
Knowledge Requirements:
Students majoring in music education must master the music theory and basic skills of basic education stage, master the educational and psychological theories and the teaching methods in the related education stage, understand and master certain representative music teaching theories and methods at home and abroad.
Students majoring in music management should master the basic theories and methods of modern art management, understand relevant national cultural policies and laws and regulations, and be familiar with the laws and characteristics of art category.
Students majoring in music science and technology must master the natural sciences related to music, computer construction and working principles, master the basic knowledge of electronic music production, be familiar with all kinds of musical instruments and sound equipment, and at least grasp the performance of one of them
Capability Requirements:
Students majoring in music education should have good professional quality and integrity, professional ability in basic music education, educational innovation consciousness and teaching research ability, and comprehensive ability in planning and organizing music activities.
Students majoring in music management should have basic managerial skills in planning, organizing and making decisions, as well as practical skills in cultural and artistic management, cultural and artistic activity planning and art product marketing.
Students majoring in music science and technology should have relevant knowledge of natural science, a cross-disciplinary vision and strong practical ability, basic skills in computer music creation, and basic knowledge and ability of network applications, audio engineering and electronic music hardware and software system maintenance.

VII. Graduation and Degree Requirements:
Students who have obtained 150 credits required by this program and have qualified grades and meet the requirements of Regulations on the Student Status Management of Undergraduate Program in North University Of China may obtain a Undergraduate Diploma in Musicology.
Students who meet the graduation requirements and meet the requirements of Provisions of the Degree Committee of North University Of China on the Grant of Bachelor's Degree may be awarded a Bachelor of Arts upon examination and approval of Degree committee.
